Quotes

Morgan Freeman

“Gary Vincent is a sensational showman, and a great songwriter.”

Charlie Musselwhite

Gary Vincent is a solid songwriter, musician, entertainer and producer of film/video and music. That’s a lot of hats, but he’s great at all of them. His lyrics can make you bust out laughing or cause you to stop and reflect. He knows how to engage an audience and make them feel like he’s personally singing right to them or laughing along with them. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Gary many times and it’s always a treat because he’s so doggone good at everything he does including getting the best out of you and your music in the studio.

Bill Bowker, KRSH Radio/Santa Rosa

“Gary Vincent’s countless talents will amaze you, amuse you and make you glad you have taken the step to hear what Gary is saying, whether it be with his totally original lyrics or his truly unique instrumentals, Vincent is a multi-instrumentalist and a multi-faceted writer.” Bill Bowker, KRSH Radio/Santa Rosa, Ca,.XRDS.fm 88.1/Clarksdale, Ms.

Ron Esser, Moondogs, Pittsburgh PA.

I have known Gary Vincent for over 30 years. The most exciting time of year for us at Moondog's is when we get the call that Gary is returning "Home" to bless us with a show!!! A show of Gary's means a PARTY!  He takes the stage and holds the audience in the palm of his hand with his whimsical tunes and outstanding wit. in fact, I am getting fired up writing this...Get up here and play  Gary!!!...We love you!!!

Tony Wood     Australia

I was fortunate to see Gary Vincent on his recent Australian tour several times, as well as hiring him for a house party for 100 friends here in Melbourne. Venues on Gary's tour ranged from large inner city venues to quaint country gigs. Despite Gary not having a high profile in Australia, the word quickly spread about this amazing singer/songwriter from Clarksdale MS via Nashville who had spent decades writing lyrics & music for some of “Americana’s”, as it’s now known, biggest names. Gary’s songs range from the heartfelt, to life on the road, to robbing banks in the Netherlands. Gary’s guitar playing is superb, perfectly & subtlety suited to whichever one of his original gems he is playing . Gary is generous with his time & establishes  a magnificent rapport with his audience. Often, Gary will tell you the basis of his songs .One he wrote while in Australia was “Aunty Matilda, The Meat Raffle Queen”. Gary hadn’t witnessed the traditional Friday night meat raffle at Sports Clubs & was quite taken with the event & inspired  to pen a song that captures the Meat Raffle in all its glory!! Hopefully, Gary will be back in Australia in the very near future!! Tony Wood twblacktopblues@gmail.com
